This is a favorite of Daves and it’s delicious if I do say so myself. I would have taken a picture, but it was eaten so fast I didn’t get a chance!
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup flour
4 chicken breasts cooked and cut up. (I boil mine)
1 – 14oz can of chicken broth
1 cup shredded cheese (I usually double the cheese because we LOVE cheese)
1 can of biscuits
salt & pepper to taste
How to:
Place cooked and cut chicken in a greased 9×13 pan
simmer butter salt, pepper & broth in a sauce pan, when melted and hot add add flour and wisk until smooth.
If your sauce is too thick, you can thin it down with a little milk or broth.
Pour sauce over chicken
sprinkle cheese on top
add the biscuits on top of that, and bake according to the directions on the biscuits.
TIP: I make a couple of different kinds of chicken casseroles and when I make the 1st one, I boil all the chicken I have, cut the fat off and cut it all up. Then I divide it up into proper portions put them in Ziploc bags and just pull them out the next time I’m making one. It makes dinner that night SO much easier!
Easy and delicious! The best kind of dinner. My husband actually prefers eating here versus eating out because he loves the things I make. (hopefully he’s not just saying that, lol)
