This cobbler requires THE BEST apples in the entire orchard, and that requires a very keen eye and amazing harvesting abilities! Ok, the kids are gone. Feel free to pick your favorite apples up at the grocery store.
Ingredients:
6 c. apples, peeled and sliced
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. unsifted all purpose flour
2 c. quick uncooked oats
Wash, peel and dice the apples and put in a 9×13 baking dish.
Sprinkle granulated sugar over the apples.
Mix the remaining ingredients together for the topping.
Sprinkle the topping over apples and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until apples are tender.
Serve warm.
Unfortunately, this dessert is not fat free. But it completely makes up for it with the eyes closed and rolled back, melt in your mouth, make you moan goodness.

I’ve been craving cobbler for the past few days. This looks great! I’m definitely going to have to try it.
This recipe looks great! I have to take the kids apple picking too, before the season’s over. Your other post reminded me of that! Have a great weekend. Following from http://momsownwords.com.
