Wow, It’s really Autumn! The trees are putting on their best colors, and the air has that slight chill first thing in the morning. I love it! The kids put up the Halloween decorations already, which means there are one or 2 things hanging on the wall and everything else shoved into a huge spooky mass on top of the fireplace. The OCD in me wants to rearrange it, but the part of me that wins out, is the one who knows that someday I’ll long for my Halloween decorations to be shoved places by little hands just so. So, it stays. And I smile when I look at it.
Bella had “hippie day” at school this week. They were raising money and if the student brought in a quarter, they could dress up. I wonder if my grandchildren will have a EMO day or “Goth day for Cancer”.
Notice the long “silkies” in her hair and around her waist? These happen to be the special items that Liza sleeps with. She has a thing for silk. So of course on the way out the door for school Liza notices that Bella is wearing them and then the bomb dropped and we all died. Bella was threatened appropriately about what would happen if she left one of them at school. “If you don’t come home with both silkies, I’m letting Liza loose”. Luckily for the universe, they both made it home safely.
Dave, Vivi & I made it to the opening day game for the St. Louis Blues! Awesome seats! I think they were 5 th row. Close enough to see the twinkle in their eyes as they body checked someone against the glass. This is Vivi’s 3rd game in her 13 months and she really likes it! So many people for her to befriend! And she does! Would it be biased to say I’ve never ever seen a happier more social baby? She amazes me everyday!

PAOK # 30 – Dave works in a huge office building. He made sure to compliment 5 people this week on the jobs they were doing. I’m so proud of him. Sincere compliments can make someone’s whole day.
PAOK # 31 – At the Blues game, Vivi had enough before the game was over and we took her home to bed. (Missing them win 2-1 in over time, but whatever) As we were leaving, we walked up to the 3rd floor nose bleed seats and gave our tickets to a mom & her 10-ish year old son to go down and watch the rest of the game on the floor. I hope it was a great experience for them!

I have been wanting to bring my son to either a Cards or Blues game, I might have to try. I think there would be a lot for him to look at. Of course, he is a temper tantrum throwing, shy toddler and not a happy social baby!

I really love autumn you can see how beautiful a place is and of course the tress and the surrounding very colorful and a bit chilly outside that it is nice to go on walking and have a date.
