We are Down for the Count.

Lots of new stuff to add. too tired currently. 2 kids puking, I have bronchitis, the baby is teething 4 teeth, & Dave needed his hand x-rayed due to a playground incident. ( I know. eyeroll)

I hope to have everyone up and running right within a few days.

I know I’m way behind on ask the mom… but…

P in WA – I would say 13 or 14 at least. But, I’m overprotective.

M in Ohio – cut the tips of the nipples off.

Jamie – I’m behind you to breastfeed as long as the baby wants to. People don’t have to look.

Nobody asked me…but….I am sorry. I know you may not like this comment..I do not want to see anyone breastfeeding. I know it is natural. What is the difference in a mother pulling out her breast for her child…or me just flopping out??? Believe me you do not want to see mine. Would you want your family seeing anyone other than a mother breastfeeding just taking off her top. I do not see the difference. I know this is going to be bashed. I am 53, you may say I am just old but there are ways to get around it. Mothers can pump before they go somewhere. Sometimes I think people are losing modesty. Now if someone goes away from a main area and is completely covered with a blanket or a modesty cover it wouldn’t be as bad. But I still don’t see the reason. The baby will not be traumatized for life if you feed it with a bottle a few times.

That is great because that is your choice! No flames here! Just don’t look!

I think there is a big difference between a mother feeding her child vs a woman just flopping one out. I’ve even pointed out breastfeeding to my girls when I see it. I want them to view it as a normal part of life as it has been since life began.

This is not an easy topic, many women have many opinions.

Although, I do have to say, I haven’t seen many women exposing their full breast. usually they are covered by a blanket or something. A full breast wouldn’t bother me. When there is a baby attached, there is absolutely nothing sexual about it, but, most mothers are more modest than that.

Hope y’all feel better soon. Five of my seven have had the flu this last week so I know how you feel. I’ve been washing my hands like a maniac and so far so good. When mommy gets sick it all goes to h e double hockey sticks in a handbasket.
