April Fools Day Rocks!

Every year I try not to mention it, so Dave stays blissfully unaware. Usually for a week or two prior, I know what I want to do & I’m bursting at the seams to tell people. This year wasn’t quite as good as the year I had him take a kitty litter cake to work, but I still had lots of fun planning and putting together the day.

Broom Stands On Handle

We’ve been seeing all the brooms standing alone on it’s bristles. We knew our broom was better than that. We found the perfect gravity center was in front of the fireplace on the marble. Apparently the wood floor had too much residual energy from people walking on it with all of their various karmic levels. We did this at night, when the moon was high to take advantage of it gravitonal forces on the tides. Valentines Day 2012

This Valentine’s day Bella was off doing whatever preteens do. Luckily I have Liza coming up in the ranks and she was thrilled to be the assistant chef for the day. Thanksgiving: Is Ours more screwed up than yours?

So, we went to Memphis to see Dave’s family over an extended holiday for Thanksgiving. The odd part? I like them all. I do. But I feel so out of my element in big family type situations. I don’t have that. It just feels weird to me but I hope my children grow up loving it and maybe I’ll get into the swing of it as time goes on. Even the dogs come to the family gatherings. Josie had Marley and Shelby to romp around with in the back yard. Seems idilic, right? And it was. Just to me it was…. foreign. I consider myself lucky that my husbands family places such a role on family time. I think this is the multigenerational bond that children need to become self aware adults.
