Wow, It’s really Autumn! The trees are putting on their best colors, and the air has that slight chill first thing in the morning. I love it! The kids put up the Halloween decorations already, which means there are one or 2 things hanging on the wall and everything else shoved into a huge spooky mass on top of the fireplace. The OCD in me wants to rearrange it, but the part of me that wins out, is the one who knows that someday I’ll long for my Halloween decorations to be shoved places by little hands just so. So, it stays. And I smile when I look at it.
Meaningful Monday Week 8
An October Meaningful Monday! Autumn is the best time of year! We took a walk and Dave caught some leaves as they fell from the trees. There’s something a little special about catching a leaf as it falls. Maybe it was just fun to watch. I did giggle a lot. And it was pretty romantic, because he’d present them to me after catching them. *sigh*
Meaningful Monday Week 7
Hey there! How was your week? Yes, I really want to know.
I’m doing the fall change over of clothing, putting summer stuff up & getting out the long sleeves. These weeks completely suckith. There are clothes all over the house because of course 3 or more of the children are in different sizes than last year, so I have summer piles, winter piles, too small piles, piles that 1 kid has out grown but another kid can wear, and piles that everyone has out grown and needs to go to the resale shop. And I guess it doesn’t help that I detest this task so much that I put it off and it takes me a week or 2 to finish. I’m really thinking we should just move somewhere warm and they can be in shorts year round. That is totally logical and would be completely worth it!
Meaningful Monday Week 6
VivoBello was invited to a charity fashion show called Rescues and Runways. I had a scheduling conflict and didn’t get to attend, but I think it’s a great fundraiser and a fun way to get the word out about shelter animals and the ASPCA. All of the models who walked the runway had an animal with them who was up for adoption. Thank you to Maurice’s for sponsoring the event! The animals and those who love them appreciate this huge act of kindness!
Meaningful Monday! You know you want the butterfly feeling….
I came across this great video of people who put dollar bills on a tree with little notes for people to take them and enjoy the day. It was neat seeing how different people reacted to the “money tree”. Watch it HERE. I really admire those people who go out and and try to touch people. (not in the weird way, the warm fuzzy impact a life way.)
Meaningful Monday Week 4
It’s a new week! The weather has been great, kids are back in school, birthday festivities are over and potty training still sucks! Although I don’t know anyone who is all WOO HOO, potty training! Liza is very excited about princess panties but she only has a 2 second window between realizing she needs to go and actually going. And if she’s playing, forget it. There’s nothing like being in the middle of a birthday party, looking out your kitchen window and seeing your 3 year old bare butt pooping in the neighbors yard. All the other neighborhood kids were screaming and running. I had to go over with a plastic bag and TRY to rationalize to the neighbors. There really is no rationalizing that.
Meaningful Monday Week 3
Happy Monday! If you did anything nice last week, you made the world a better place. So, thank you! (That was me, speaking for the general population). We’ve figured out that if our family is going to meet our goal of 35 Random Acts of Kindness in 3.5 months, that is approximately 2-3 per week. Why are we doing this? We simply want to make the world a little kinder. The back story is HERE. I decided to make it into a blog hop because I couldn’t think of a better way to start the week. Reading about humans being nice to each other gives me warm fuzzies.
Meaningful Monday Week 2
Woo Hoo it’s Monday again! I no longer dread Mondays because I love to read about the random acts of kindness people do or have seen. It’s awesome to start the week out with feel good butterflies!
Meaningful Monday Blog Hop!
Welcome to the new VivoBello page! If you bookmarked the old site it’s time to update! We’re starting a new fun blog hop on Mondays, inspired by the Random Acts Of Kindness we’ve been doing. If you’d like backstory – Dave & I are both turning 35 this year, he turned on July 23rd and I’m much younger than him until November 4th. What we want most for our birthdays is a better world, where people put others first and think about their actions. So, we’re kicking it off! Our family is doing 35 Random Acts Of Kindness in the 3.5 months between our birthdays. And so far we love it so much, we want to get others involved too! Let’s start our weeks out on a positive note! If you’re a blogger, post about a RAOK you did, or a story you saw and link it here! If you aren’t a blogger, just read and enjoy the feel good butterflies in your tummy. And everyone, go do something nice – on purpose.
