The 2 phones in her bed crack me up.

Ingredients:

• 2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
• 4 tbs cold butter (cut into pieces)
• 1 heaping cup grated cheddar cheese
• 3/4 cup cold whole milk
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Topping:

• 4tbs melted butter
• 1/4 tsp garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp garlic salt
• 1/2 tsp parsley flakes

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350f.
2. combine main ingredients and stir until dough forms. Don’t mix too throughly. You want hard butter chunks through out.
3. Drop 1/4 cup portions onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 17 minutes, or until golden brown.
4. Combine topping mix and brush on warm biscuits. Use it all up!

I’ve decided to make a tab of the crazy ways I find my kids sleeping. These are of Vivi in the past week.

Usually holidays stress me out. We run to this family gathering then that community event. Did we remember to pack the appetizer platter? Did everyone pee? Are the kids dressed nicely? Ok, who am I kidding, are the kids half way clean and wearing clothing that have been washed this week?

This Easter we didn’t do any of that. It was awesome! I think this Easter has been my favorite in a long time. We were just…. together. I even came up with a way to not do the whole Easter basket thing. (more on that later)

My photo editing place closed, so instead of collages this time you’ll have to look at each pic individually. I found a new one, but they don’t offer colleges yet.

Yeah, Vivi wasn’t thrilled at all. Although, she did get closer to the bunny than she did to Santa. Points to the bunny. Aren’t the older children so wonderfully cooperative? It’s rare to have an 11 and almost 12 year old be so eager to smile nicely and pose with the Easter Bunny. I will share my mothering magic with you: I paid them $5 each. Don’t judge, it works. I’ve heard rumors that next year it’ll cost me $10, we’ll see little extortionists, we’ll see.

My favorite pic is of them all together, because it’s so rare that someone isn’t running out of the frame, looking at a bug, fixing their shoe, chasing a fly, fussing about their shirt tag, or severely annoying the person next to them…

All 5, but they had to have suckers as a bribe.

If that’s the only pic we get all year like this, we’ll probably use it as our Christmas cards. Just pretend you didn’t see it.

We also dyed eggs of course: and as a tip – buy extra egg dying kits on clearance for a craft for them to do in the winter. They love it, and egg salad is yummy.

Dave actually asked, "Are you sure we need to put paper underneath them?"

5 kids opening Easter baskets = blurry pictures. I won’t subject you to that nonsense. And actually, I only got basket trinkets for the youngest. The older ones had sparse baskets. They eyed them wearily. Instead on buying a bunch of crap that won’t be played with in a week, we got them a chocolate bunny and an egg with a 6 flags season pass inside. OH YEAH. Family fun all summer, and no junk to clutter the floor. Happy dance for all.
