As an End Table, Bedroom nightstands double as great end tables in your living room or den. At just the right height to reach from the couch, nightstands disguise themselves perfectly as end tables. With drawers and small shelves, a nightstand offers more storage space than the average end table. Though in individual cases it depends on the style of nightstand and your decorating style, if you are relaxed about how you decorate, throwing in a random nightstand will fit in perfectly while giving you extra table space. As Seating, If your nightstands are sturdy and at the same height, pushing two or three together and covering them with pillows makes for quirky, unexpected extra seating. This "Do It Yourself" bench is also a great way to make an instant window seat.
The next thing to consider when choosing your nightstand is size. How tall and how wide do you need your nightstand to be? The best way to answer that question is to take measurements in your room. Measure the area where the nightstand will be placed to know exactly what size might stand you need before you go shopping. The last thing you want to do is find a nightstand that you absolutely love, bring it home and find out that it doesnt it in your bedroom.
Most of these tables are made of wood since a lot of them have drawers where one can temporarily store and keep within easy reach items like socks, wallets, cell phones, medicine bottles, books, alarm clock, and other things that one might need during the night, before going to sleep or after waking up. The best place to put the slippers is always under the bed but some prefer to keep them under nightstands where they are easier to locate.
